The quality manufacturer ThinLine has used the experiences of many horse owners to develop a very durable horse brake, which is much softer, pleasantly light and significantly less restrictive than conventional horse brakes.
Made from a durable and flexible material that significantly improves comfort, it also feels pleasantly soft on your horse's teeth and lips. The flexible eating brake is very well ventilated and safe.

ThinLine uses one of the most durable, hard-wearing and safest materials to manufacture the seizure brake, which is also fungus, mold and UV resistant. Particular care was taken to ensure that the pleasantly light and flexible material does not contain any harmful substances, so that the seizure brake can be used safely for many years.
The attachment uses special safety cable ties that were developed by ThinLine, based on feedback from many horse owners, specifically for the flexible eating brake and have been further developed over the years. The special thing about the structure is that the eating brake can be easily adjusted to suit each horse individually within about ten minutes. If something unforeseen happens, the replaceable safety cable ties will break to ensure the best possible safety.
Together with the ThinLine halter , which is equipped with separate slots for the cable ties, the components are perfectly coordinated and enable absolutely safe use for every horse. These are very high quality components and of course have a guarantee.
Veterinarians recommend the following for safe grazing with a food barrier:

a 3.5 to 4 cm grazing hole for 24/7 full-time grazing

an approx. 2.5 cm large grazing hole, for restricted grazing - often required for horses with metabolic problems
In conventional scavenging brakes, the scavenging holes are 3 cm and cannot be changed. The 3 cm feeding hole of the flexible feeding brake from ThinLine, for the Cob / Warmblood and Coldblood sizes, or 2 cm diameter for the Shetty / Pony size, can be enlarged to meet every grazing requirement. All you need is a pair of scissors.

Note: The flexible eating brake is not delivered including a halter. You can order the matching original halter from ThinLine ( click here ) or use any other halter. The original ThinLine halter has the advantage that the cable ties are in an intermediate layer and do not come into direct contact with the horse.

How can I measure the size of the horse brake on my horse?
Measure from the side buckle of the halter at the front of the nose/lips to the buckle on the opposite side. You can then compare this length with the following measurements:
- Shetty / Pony corresponds to 19" approx. 48 cm
- Cob / Warmblood corresponds to 21" approx. 53 cm
- Cold blood corresponds to 23" approx. 58 cm

What size Icelandic horse?
For most Icelanders, the Cob/Warmblood size brake is suitable and the Cob size halter is suitable.
Is it difficult to adapt the flexible eating brake to my horse?
No. Adjustment is very easy, for every horse. With your order you will receive step-by-step instructions from us in German and English, in which everything is described in detail with pictures.
Can my horse eat from a hay net or a rack with a hay net with the flexible eating brake?
Yes, it is possible and many people use it that way.
Is the ThinLine halter size “Shetty” suitable for my normal Shetty?
The "Shetty" size is more suitable for small Shettys. You can measure the current halter of your Shetty and compare it with the information for the ThinLine halter (see above) to choose the right ThinLine halter for your Shetty.

Your order will be safely packed in a recycled box at our nearest warehouse location, using environmentally friendly filling material & paper tape with watercolor paint . We ship bulky goods on an untreated wooden pallet.
